Luanda Sisimukha Saving And Credit Association – Lets End Fistula Inititative

This is our new Group launched on 9^th November 2021 operating in Bungoma County. The Group has forty-nine (20) active members.

The Group is led by Florence Chemomenyu as Regional Representative together with the Group leadership.

Income Generating Activities The Group engages in various Group Income Generating Activities that continue to ensure the economic empowerment goal of the survivors is realized. These are:

Table Banking

The group has started engaging in table banking to help the survivors access short-term loans to support their IGAs.

Merry Go Round

The members have started visiting each member’s homes as a way of bonding and knowing each other. During these home visits, they are able to make some contribution to support the member being visited.

Goat keeping

The group has managed to start a goat project to increase the ability of the members to income.

Individual IGAS

In addition, the members have individual IGAs which involve: Farming of Onions and bananas amongst the members. Livestock keeping includes Cattles, pigs, sheep, goats, and poultry
